Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Learn English app, made by London Jobs ("we"). By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
Using the app
The app is free to use for your own learning. You may install it on the devices you own. Please do not copy, sell or redistribute the app or its contents, take it apart to extract the pictures, recordings or word lists, or use it in a way that breaks the law.
What the app is
Learn English teaches English vocabulary and pronunciation through pictures, recordings and short games. It is a learning aid, not a qualification, a translation service or professional language tuition. We try hard to make the words, translations and recordings correct, but we cannot promise the app is free of mistakes, and you should not rely on it where accuracy really matters — for example in legal, medical or safety situations.
Speech recognition
The speaking exercises rely on the speech recognition built into your phone. It is not perfect: it may fail to understand correct English, or accept English that a listener would not. Treat its judgement as practice feedback, not as a verdict on your pronunciation. Whether it works at all depends on your phone, your language packs and your connection.
Your progress
Your progress is stored only on your phone. We have no copy, so we cannot restore it. If you uninstall the app, clear its data, lose the device or reset it, the progress is gone.
Changes to the app
We add, change and occasionally remove features, words and pictures as the app improves. We may stop publishing the app; if so, versions already installed keep working as they are.
Liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including lost progress or the consequences of relying on something it taught. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you use the app as a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections your own country's law gives you.
